Vanguard 是一款适合一到两名玩家的街机风格射击游戏.你的目标是驾驶你的宇宙飞船前往位于戒备森严的隧道尽头的神秘之城,并在到达那里摧毁贡德生物.隧道分为几个不同的区域,称为山地区,彩虹区,棒区,条纹区,荒凉区和神秘之城.每个区域都有不同类型的敌方太空飞船需要对付,并且可以水平或垂直滚动.在山区或条纹区,您还可能会遇到标有“E”的能量荚.如果你飞过这里,你的飞船会暂时变得无敌于致命的洞穴墙壁和众多试图阻止你的敌人.当你的太空飞船不是无敌时,它会配备激光来帮助摧毁敌人.你可以向四个不同的方向射击,但是射击时你的速度会降低.您还需要留意您的燃油表;你的燃料会迅速耗尽,如果耗尽你的船就会坠毁.每次消灭敌人都会获得燃料,所以请确保消灭尽可能多的敌人!当你最终穿过隧道的所有不同区域并击败贡德时,游戏将以更困难的技能水平重复.
